Narrative

Set in the Utopian Piltover and the oppressed dungeon of Zaun, the story follows the origins of two iconic League of Legends champions and the power that will tear them apart… Fortiche Productions made a music video called "Get Jinxed" for Riot in 2013 Now includes Jinx and the town of Piltover. Riot was so impressed with the work that they asked Fortiche to make an animated series, which took them several years to create.

Arcane tells the story of two young orphan sisters who grow up and get into trouble in the twin cities of Zaun and Piltover. The series is based on the video game League of Legends, and although it drops you right into this fictional world, the necessary time and care has been taken to set up the locations and characters in a commendable display, don’t tell. Solid character development and world building means it’s a thoroughly enjoyable watch without knowing anything about the game.

The animation is downright exquisite

As an anime fan myself, I found the animation in Arcane to surpass anything I’ve ever seen from an animated series. There is incredible attention to detail. It’s clear that no artistic talent or money was spared in bringing the world of Runeterra to life.

Great soundtrack, great acting, and a compelling story that pulls no punches when it comes to violence and more mature themes
